This fourth edition of the typesetting has been prepared to provide
readers with a largest understanding of the wringer and
design of the thin-walled, cold-formed steel structures that
have been so widely used in towers construction and other
areas in recent years. It is a revised version of the first
author’s book, Cold-Formed Steel Design, third edition,
published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. in 2000. All the revi-
sions are based on the 2007 edition of the North American
Specification with Supplement No.1, which combines the
allowable strength diamond (ASD), the load and resistance
factor diamond (LRFD), and the limit states diamond (LSD)
methods.
